Theaters and cinemas will open in Cyprus on Thursday 17th of September.
They have been closed for the past six months, since mid-March, by government order in as to combat the spread of the coronavirus.
The Cyprus Ministry of Health has developed a protocol for the operation of these institutions in the new order:
If people go to the cinema with a group of two or four people, they can sit side by side.
There should be a distance of at least one meter between strangers or different companies.
The halls should have guides who will escort the audience to their seats so that they do not wander around the premises aimlessly and possible contact with other people is reduced to a minimum.
All employees of theaters and cinemas in contact with visitors are required to wear masks in their workplaces.
People should enter and exit through at least two doors to avoid large crowds.
The premises should be disinfected after each performance and there should be good ventilation.
