Cyprus airports Paphos and Larnaca are waiting for a record number of passengers this month – 1.4 million people! The busiest day should be on August 6. According to the press-secretary of Hermes airport operator Adamos Aspris, 347 flights are scheduled for this day. In the first two weeks of the month, both airports will have more than 3,800 flights and approximately 620,000 passengers. Of these, 3 000 flights and 470 thousand passengers – to Larnaca and 800 flights and 150 thousand passengers – to Paphos.
In all passenger traffic, the share of Cypriot residents accounts for more than 30%. The most popular destination is Greece. In general, since the beginning of this year, the number of passengers has increased by 17.8%.
Recall that a few days ago, the Statistical Office of Cyprus reported that in May 2017, tourism revenues in Cyprus grew by 19% in annual terms, reaching 291.5 million euros. At the same time, the number of tourists increased by 15%.
